Well that was tougher than it should have been but still a big win.... especially since Colorado, Minny, and 'peg have all lost tonite (and Dallas is losing)

That whole third period it felt like it was inevitable Edmonton was going to tie the game- thankfully did not happen.

10-3-2- let that sink in.......

We got off to a great start and a 3-0 lead for the 1st time this season and we hung on to win. They bent but didn't fold and good teams do that. We still need to get more secondary scoring as the 1st line can't do everything. Cullen and the 2nd line did get a goal tonight. 3rd and 4th lines are an offensive wasteland. Good thing Faust was in there in the 1st as Scrivens played well in the last 2 periods.

Near where sand and waves meet.
A great first period devolved into a nailbiter ... a great period at the dot for naught as the team ended up on the short end of faceoffs. The kill got the job done, the PP didn't. The team overcame a mortal night from Pekka.

Whew.

Awesome first period, terrible second period, hanging on for dear life third period. Came out with the win which is what matters at the end of the night.

Forsberg is doing things that just blow my mind for a twenty year old. I love his all around game. Go Preds beat those Blues.

I think, while it is important as fans to relish all wins and successes players have, it is important to remember that streaks work both ways. We have seen a hot streak from Forsberg. I am interested in how long/how he responds to a cold one.

That being said, when it does happen, the third line of zero points are working too hard, and doing too many of the right things to continue to find nothing. It is about time Jokinen, Jarnkrok, and Bourque get a few goals here.

I believe you are correct, especially Jarnkrok and Jokinen.

Bourque will get his too. He can pot 10 goals for this team still and be very very effective in his role.He works his ass off every night he is in. He has talent. It will happen.

Not if he gets pushed out of the lineup once Fisher returns and when Wilson is healthy.

Bourque is in a tough spot when Willy and Fish are back. Olli seems to be a logical choice to sit, but Lavy seems to like his "veteran presence". Beck - while I'd rather see him with Willy on the 3rd - has made that 4th line much more effective. Hook - hasn't played any less effectively than Gabby and has just as good a result - zip - but has much higher upside.

My choice would be Hook to Milw and Olli to the bench, but I'll buy beers for the boards if that happens! (legal disclaimer - message board hyperbole is not legally enforceable and nothing said should be considered a binding offer)
