That fourth line... So bland. Having Motte around makes this team so much better. 3C Schmaltz, 4C kruger.

Go Hawks!

I hope Schmaltz really begins to shine. With Toews and Kane --- wow. Can any other rookie hit the lottery like that!

Well, he couldn't be put in a better situation to succeed than he has been right now. So that's good. Hopefully he learns a lot playing with those two.

Keep the good times rolling!

And if we *have* to lose, at least make STL earn their win rather than gifting them goals on the PK like last game vs. them.

Pretty excited for this game. Two well rested rivals coming off wins. Should be a good test.

With a point tonight we take sole possession of first in the conference.

1.Guaranteed...tge Hawks will not play hard for a full 60. .because tgey NEVER do that for Q.

2 Hawks can still win with even 1/3 of a game competiting hard..if our goaltending bails out and our pk does not fail us.

3.We finally saw "normal " Toews come back from tge dead to actually exert himself into a game and impact it ..albeit not for the whole game but as good a 3rd period as we ever get from a well deserved "star" for him in a game which ought to be more consistently showing up the majority of games given his pay level..Prior to last game and tge final portion of it we never saw Toews move of coasting mode. But we finally got him exertion g which.led to production and line dominance.."looking great" again...the questions is : does he exert again tonight with the hustle er need from him?If he coasts and allows JayBo et al to handle him easily .well that sets a bad example and unless CC steaks the game we will have a tough go..cause you know Hirsch will have tge Blues up for a statement on us.

If however..we get Johnny Hustle instead of Johnny Loafer tonight..then our leader will lead and I spire us to the kind of statement on the Blues we Gans crave..So which Johnny do wr get?

4. Who wins the Schmaltz vs.Schwartz schowdown? IT SHOULD BE SOME SCHOW? Now go Schu...sssh!

CODE RED(this is not a test):

Possible Toews injury during morning skate

Repeat, possible Toews injury during morning skate

Again, this is not a test. Updates as soon as they come out.

Jonathan Toews comes up a little gimpy on his left leg after battling for the puck with Ryan Hartman.

Chris Hine ‏@ChristopherHine · 35m35 minutes ago
Toews has stayed on the ice but he looks to be in pain, discomfort

Chris Hine ‏@ChristopherHine · 29m29 minutes ago
Toews is the first Blackhawk off the ice, usually Corey Crawford is

This does not sound good

Toews said he's OK. Was walking around the dressing room fine.

HUGE sigh of relief

Hopefully he really is okay

Is Toews in or not? This is a huge game

I didn't see any call-ups of any sort... and Toews himself said he's fine... so I'm guessing he's in. Someone can come up gimpy a little bit with just a bruise, charlie horse, or stinger. How many times do we see a guy block a shot in a game, and come back out for his shift a couple mins later like it never happened? I wouldn't worry too much about it if he's saying that he's ok.
