We desperately need speedy players, the Canadians showed us and now Columbus is showing us speed. It's like we missed the memo on the way the NHL was trending when we started our rebuild to mimick the heavy LA build of old.

Girgensons had an excellent period IMO.

That whole line did, but I agree that girgs especially looked good. He put the puck on net with a dangerous backhand shot while surrounded by three BJs.

Risto still loooking like “new and improved” Risto from the last few games, which is nice to see. Same with McCabe

Jack not letting mistakes and bad plays frustrate him and take him off his game, which is nice to see.

Sobotka won a battle on the boards against Foligno and found Sam wide open in the slot, but I believe Sam missed the net. That’s the only positive thing they did offensively the whole period.

Lots of sloppy passing and poor decisions by the defense on pinches. They also had bad timing when deciding to jump up to challenge defensively. Needs to get cleaned up.

Some players on Columbus are faster than some players on our team. The same can be said the other way. Buffalo needs more team speed for sure but they did add Sheary and Skinner this off-season.

He needs to get bigger/stronger and learn to use his size more while keeping the finesse he has. That’s something that will take time. I’m with you that he should be with the Amerks to do that.

It's more about how slow our defensemen are, getting beat at least 3 times against the Canadians on icings was bad.

Andersson on that PK made us look bad and he did it all simply with speed.

Oh yeah..... maybe even agree that Ullmark is playing very well and has been (thus far) the right pick for this game?
