Fair point about Drouin but from what i see from kk and suzuki they have the defensive ability its just experience and strength now which arent really helped by playing 3rd and 4th line the experience that is
We have 1 2nd line.. and the rest of the lines basically form 3 3rd lines. No one is getting 3rd to 4th line experience.
On any given night the "4th" line can get all the tough matchups and then our "2nd" line will.. etc etc..
The kids are doing really well and let's be honest.. Julien is playing them above all of their skill levels.
We have 1 First line player and he's fringe at that. Domi.
Drouin can't sustain the type of aggressiveness we saw in him the first 4 games obviously and will more than likely top out as a fringe first line guy in his late 20s.
KK has lots to learn but has potential to be a 1st line guy and Suzuki has 1 line potential.
Gallagher is a 2nd line player who can score goals.
Danault is a fringe 2nd liner
Tatar played with Zetterberg and is a 2nd liner at best.
Weber is more cooked than a hot dog in boiling water
Mete is a blazing fast 3rd liner
And price is lazy and inconsistent.
The fact we play as well as we do some nights is really a testament to how Well our coach deploys lines and how hungry the players are in the system.
Oh and I don't know if you've been watching the games but almost every player not named Thompson byron Danault Gallagher and Tatar have been playing a 3rd/2nd line role.
