A while ago, the Stanley Cup win made the Hawks fanbase
into a blissfully happy unit and Negativity simply ceased to exist. 1 season has passed... Complaining, over-analysis, and dissatisfaction have been rediscovered, and bickering reigns. But there are those who would spout constructive things in hopes of reviving the powerful force known as "Positivity". Can it be that those fans are on the verge of supporting another potential Cup win?

Looking at the Stars roster... Why are we supposed to be scared of them this season again? 2 and a third lines (I like eakin)/ bad defensive forwards in those top 2 lines and no D.

Seriously, so much hype. I have high hopes for this season. I love this team on paper even more than the last two. It's been way too long since we went undefeated for half the year to start, let's do that again.

Every time I start to get even a little annoyed by them I remember how badly all those other teams' fans wish their team was good enough to have bandwagoners.

It's kind of the way I look at it as well. To be honest them complaining about it is almost as annoying as the bandwagon hopping itself.

Every sports team that is good is going to have bandwagon fans and the dedicated fans. If the Stars became as good as the Hawks, they would have the same problem. That's just the way it is.

Oh, and their comment about our team falling apart soon because of huge contracts is rather funny. We're gonna keep our core people for the most part and we have so much prospect depth. Plus the salary situation really won't be that bad as long as the cap takes that huge leap. If there is anything we have learned, it's that Bowman knows the cap. At least one of their posters realizes that.

Anyway, off topic..

Bandwagon fans bring money to the team and come with the territory. You have a successful team, people are naturally drawn to it. Typically bandwagon fans are also fans that were not a fan of another team, but heard about the Hawks doing well and now are learning hockey while watching the Hawks. It's a good thing.

Awwww yeah! What a great game to open the season. Like the rest of the central, Dallas is a tough team. Every game against a divisional opponent is huge. Hope we can set the tone early and make a statement.
