Schmaltz had a quite preseason. Just proves how little the the preseason means to vets. Like a different player.
That's the way a top five pick should look. We have gotten use to the Turris, Strome and Hayton's of the world.

Most impressive takeaway for me last night. Go up 2-0 then fall behind 3-2 after two with all momentum with the home team. Then comeback to tie in the 3rd and win in S/O against an elite team.

After watching the tape,
1. Great win.
2. Cooley should become a ppg player.
3. Dumba and Durzi will have huge impacts.
4. JJ Moser need to stop playing stupidity and make better decisions.
5. Veggie may take the next step forward this year. He didn’t let in any soft goals and only once was caught out of position.

Well, that depends. Top five picks who have elite talent can become first line players rather quickly. We just have not had such talent to do that, so our thinking is that all players it takes time. Cooley, so far, looks very comfortable with the NHL game. He will have his ups and downs though.
After a quite preseason Veggie played great and bailed out Dumba. Our D is still very weak, but Veggie was a wall back there.
4th line changed momentum back in Coyotes favor after the penalty parade....
Enjoyed Nash and McConnell on the Coyotes broadcast....opposites attract. McConnell with an excellent point about Cooley getting the benefit of not going up against the opponents best shut down line/D pairing.
