As long as Gibby doesn't come out to say that he wants out, whether publicly or to Verbeek in his office, we keep him. He's indicated in past interviews on the subject that while he wants to win he still wants to stay here and play here. You respect that, until otherwise indicated.

We're wasting his prime years, but if he doesn't want to leave there's no reason to trade him. We don't need the extra cap space, Dostal probably won't be ready for full time duty for another 1-2 years, and by then hopefully be putting a more competitive team in front of him.
But if he wanted to leave and we could still get a 1st back, I'd wish him all the best.

Gibson is 9th, proponents saying he looks like Patrick Roy when losing 5-2. Detractors think it's been so long since we've been competitive that they wonder how he'd perform in games of real consequence.
