A friend of mine who claims to have insider information (who knows) says Frozen Fury this year will consist of TWO games....Avalanche and Rangers.

I can't wait to meet you all there, especially Ron.

avs and rangers. Nice I like that. But I wonder if they will charge 2 games for the price of 1? Or can we buy separate games?

As long as you bring me that Viagra you promised me a couple of weeks ago, I'm game.

"If everything comes together as planned, here are some highlights of what’s in the works:

- A Friday night game between the Kings and New York Rangers

- A game between the Kings and Avalanche on Saturday night

- A major fantasy camp that would run throughout the weekend and feature alumni from all three teams

As of now, Frozen Fury 2013 is being planned for the weekend of September 27-28 at MGM Grand Garden Arena. Those dates may need to change depending on when the NHL regular season begins, based upon if the league participates in the 2014 Winter Olympics."

#FrozenFury news... from what I've been told, game 1 #LAKings vs #NYRangers will be televised in LA. Game 2 vs the #Avs is still a maybe.

Holy ****!

If anyone can't make the trip andwants to feel like they are in Vegas, you can come over to my house and watch the game. I'll promise an authentic Vegas experience:
After the game, I'll knock you out , take all your money and then sell one of your kidneys on the black market.
You'll wake up in a strange place, broke , with no memory of the night before.

That's awesome they are televising it, even though I am going. Still upset I didn't go the year that Avery got Forsberg to drop the gloves since they stopped televising this thing back in 2000 or 2001 I believe.

As for FF...who all is going? Two games in two nights?? Get your livers ready.

I'll be there for the Ranger game but I think I'm skipping the Avs one. Although the prospect nerd in me wants to see MacKinnon in person. It's too bad, Frozen Fury used to be an annual trip for me and my friends, but one by one they all got married or started having kids. I went in 2011 with some other friends, but that wasn't nearly the same.

You might have had me if you were offering hookers. jk

I am going to the Ranger game. I'm going to enjoy the other evening by taking my wife to a show.

I highly recommend La Reve for folks that are only going to one game and are looking for something cool to do the other night.

I've gone every year since 2003. I'll be there and if anyone thinks the lockout hasnt had at least a little impact, my frozen fury group went from 120 ppl last year to 65 this year (i feel bad for my friend who had to refund 120 ppl their ticket money). I'm going to both games. That is the whole point of going for me. I used to go to Vegas multiple times a year and now this is usually my only trip so I really look forward to it. Last year was the biggest bummer ever.

I'm thinking of getting a group of friends together and going to both games this year. Any recommendations of hotels to stay at? Or deals to look into? Also, how much are the tickets? The cheapest on Stubhub is $60 which is more than the average price for a preseason game. Thanks!

Tickets are still on sale through Ticketmaster depending on how many tickets you need and where want to sit. They start at $75 including fees for BOTH games.

As far as hotels go, I usually stay at an all suites timeshare type place. It really depends on how much you want to spend and what type of place you want. You can try going on VRBO.com or Flipkey.com and renting a suite of some kind and pile in a bunch of people. They often have the signature suites at the MGM grand on there plus plenty of similar places. There is a Marriott around the corner that has suites too. There is a place called the Carriage House around the corner that has fairly affordable suites but I've never stayed there. I like to stay at an all suites hotel when I go because I stock the fridge with beer, water and food. It cuts down on costs and is actually really convenient.

Vegas trips up here are 'all inclusive' with airfare and drinks. If you got that, count me in :D

Btw, nice scoop Axl Rhoadz. Thanks for posting it (even it was back in February). Normally I don't read threads about when games are etc. because of where I am. Shows how slow the news is these days in hockey when I'm checking up on Frozen Fury up here in Manitoba when I have zero ability to go. Hurry up training camp!
