I saw this the other night with a lady friend.

I do not understand why people like this. I couldn't wait for it to be over.

There's not a lick of good humor in this thing.

do you play lots of video games? OR have you seen the play or movie "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead"--I look at the movie on a satire of of gamers and not really caring about side characters

The movie was in production before the acquisition, but filming started in May 2019. The purchase was closed in March 2019.

They had to clear all of that in pre-production.

Doubt it... or more specifically, I doubt something like that not being cleared in pre-production would've meant not being able to use it later. In fact, a quick Google search has the director quoted as saying the merger is what allowed for it.

Just saw it...

I spent half the movie wondering why they didn't cast Zoey Deutch in the leading lady role

And I spent the other half wondering why Taika Waititi wasn't replaced on Day 1 of production

Best line of the film: "Don't kill me I have a goldfish!"


Overall, it was decent enough... 6.5 outta 10
