How about Lundqvist at 2x2 and play them 1A, 1B for the next two years?

The King is sadly done. Would much rather platoon Campbell with someone who can share half of the workload - luckily we'd have a few options through free agency like Crawford, Talbot and more still via trade.

The isles and lou have nothing to do with what is being discussed.

The question was whether they like giving away money to UFAs in order to trade them as suggested by a poster. That is great in theory but not in reality or for the bean counters. Having said that Dubas has not and I doubt would do that.

It’s amazing how often some bring up a team and gm that have nothing to do with the Leafs as a way to deflect the issues here.

Except the fact that Lou was the GM here still has a lot to do with the Leafs and some of the issues here. It's just a thing he's a GM of another team now where, he's in fact making the same awful mistakes as he did here, which is why you see half of their fanbase questioning the guy.
