Surprised that no one has signed Klingberg yet. Maybe he over-estimated his worth and/or wants a 7 year term which teams are balking at.

May be that every team investing in analytics is having the affect of GMs not making really bad decisions and overpaying on risky deals?

The Canes basically got Patches for free as a cap dump. We had the cap space and could certainly have gone for that. Really wonder if we are still in on Klingberg (and upgrading our D). Could easily have made the F core better with some of the other acquisitions.

Best deal: Kane, 4 years, 5.125 million

I figured they are still looking to improve that D. Petry is 34 and signed of another 3 years at 6.25M AAV. Not sure if that really makes sense for us. Cheaper than Klingberg contract but different type of player

Petry is still pretty effective. If they are going to eat salary it will cost more.
