Yeah with one year left I'm sure something can be done. Just like Drouin this year, deadline we can retain and boot his ass out of here.
I can see them keeping one of Byron or Drouin all year if they decide to retain on a non expiring contract. Fingers crossed for Byron lol

The entire league is in a cap crunch.

On paper that Hoffman deal is perfectly fine.

Sure, it's -alright- but just like everything else Bergevin did.. it makes no sense in the greater picture.

Like just understand the fact we have traded Weber, Kulak, Lehkonen, Toffoli and Chiarot already. We are still up against the cap.

He was just a terrible manager.

Petry is not getting any value this summer. At this point, I think we should just keep him. At the deadline, if he has a decent season, with potentially a little retention, he could easily fetch a late first and prospect.

I guess it all depends how much Hughes wants to accommodate him.
After today Jeff Petry has become a bargain.
