Nice add. Now do Lehkonen and we're set

Kreider Zibs Laffy
Panarin Strome Vatrano
Lehkonen Chytil Kakko
Goodrow Rooney Reaves/Hunt/Brodz

I think it's Kakko to the top 6; deadline additions to the bottom 6.

Sounds like someone we won't resign (if care to) but that's fine

Sounds like someone I'm already assuming we will not re-sign.

I wonder what this means for a Kessell trade. With Kakko coming back I don't know if I see the need?

Wonder what the catch is? Typically a guy like him would fetch a 2nd/3rd at minimum

Seems to be injury prone based on his GP per season.

Would you even want him? Why?

We got the winger, i rather get Domi who can play more of a center role and provide some physical play. Something the top 6 needs.

This might also smell like Drury knows this is not the year to commit with FLA and COL loading up. Use his cap space the best he can for value trades, broker a deal or two, add some depth and hope Gallant can get the most out of his team.

This is one of those 'weaponizing capspace' moves, though not the kind usually thrown around here. Florida is trying to free up room for big additions and though Vatrano's a good player, on their roster, he's been relegated to more of an afterthought. It's them trading for cap space more than trading away the player.

Anymore, no, I'm saying I don't see the need.

I would have preferred Kessell to making a big splash, simply cause Kessell is cheap.

But at this point, Vatrano is the cheap move. Don't know if I see the point in paying a third or fourth for Kessell at this juncture.
