Peter Forsberg is retired thats why you didnt notice him

all kidding aside, yes, forsberg has to step up, still 1 or 2 games left. He has to take more on his shoulders without Johansen

Filip is born 1994. For his age, he has done enough for the team so far this postseason. To harp over him is a sign of being a total idiot.

So far he has been quiet. Sort of reminds me of last year with Joe Pavelski. However, he still is a dangerous player and this series is far from over.

With Johansen out the Preds have been shuffling lines like crazy and trying to spread the skill across lines the best they can. Probably not a lot of chemistry.

Agreed. Who has been the best offensive player on the Preds, by far, theese playoffs?. An effect of the internet-message board is that it seem to morph many peoples memories and past happenings into nothing. You look one or two days back at the max. Know your ******* history! People! ..or this world will colapse

Wrong. If he was on his ELC maybe but now he's being paid big bucks to be an impact player. He's gotta do better.

He's basically the only forward the Penguins need to focus on containing. It's no surprise he's struggling to put up points. The rest of the Predators' forward lineup needs to step up and provide depth scoring.

Too early. He could still.be on fire last 2 games if it gets to that.

Too early!? They've played 5 of a maximum 7 games. This is Nashville's leading scorer. One of the reasons they're facing elimination is because of his inability to produce. Obviously he's missing Johansen, but that still doesn't explain why he's been invisible most nights.

Honestly he's not all that different then Neal in that regard, where unless they're doing stupid **** for the most part you do not notice them. And for Nashville, if they want to win, that cannot happen.

His father Peter once said Simon Gagne was the purest goalscorer he ever played with. Maybe Filip should call him and ask for advice how to get out of this slump?

True, but he's also had some chances down low that he passed up on. Needs to be more aggressive.

Other Preds forwards have stepped up in games. The chances are there for Forsberg.

He had a disappointing first half of the season, got moved to Johansen's and Arvidsson's line, went on a tear in the 2nd half (completely making up for all of the lost production the first half), and went back to disappointing when Johansen was injured. He seems to really need that strong center to carry the puck and dish it to him or else he tries to do everything on his own.

Perhaps the best anecdotal evidence of that is the moment in Game 4 when he received the puck from Jarnkrok (I think that it was) in the slot and tried to pass it back, even though he was one-on-one with the goaltender. I suspect that he would've shot it if he had received the pass from Johansen. Without him, though, Forsberg is clearly the best player on his line and seems to play more like a playmaker, trying to set up his inferior linemates, instead of letting them get the puck to him for his snipes. He needs to not overreact and put some faith in his linemates to get him the puck so that he concentrate on his usual game that he has success with.

He was a ghost during the Blues series too. I like to think it was Pietrangelo but after this series maybe he's just that streaky.

He was unreal against Chicago. Didn't catch much of the Ducks series.

He's looked more than competitive so far. I would not have guessed just one empty net point from watching his play.

His goalie running skills are exceptional, he even sought to show Matt Murray what the "hands up don't shoot" pose looks like after a whistle in game 5.

Is he playing this series?

Nashville is thin enough at forward, they need him to show up in a big way (and instead he's been doing the opposite).
