Playing almost a half of the games in NHL in one season probably perma-unlocked the one-way status for him. Other than that, he's very close to the league minimum.

Also, he followed that up with very solid AHL season on a pretty poor Rockford team. He seems like the definition of AAAA guy. However, there was a comment shortly after the trade by Waddell that Paul Schonfelder, our AHL goalie consultant, gave a good recommendation for Forsberg....so there's no telling.
