He had a good peak in his 25 year old season with 52 points in 60 or so games. He spent significant amount of minutes this season in the Jets top 9. And he's bad now.

He was definitely a top 6 forward at one time. He's a UFA after this season and most likely traded at the TDL. Hardly worth bringing up IMO

Sounds like you're taking this thread a bit too seriously.

Skimmed through this thread, thought of a player on the Jets who was formerly good, but sucks now and has played a decent chunk of minutes, and Stafford fits the mold.

So he's been dragging the Rangers down throughout his career then? Cool. He is not Vezina-calibre like he was last year (check the computer boys' work for reference) but he is not dragging NYR down. He's earned his contract, end of.

You and I seem to be alone on this one. He's been disappointing this year, but he certainly hasn't hurt the team. Definitely overpaid, but not dragging the team down. I don't know how anyone can think that we'd be in a better position if he hadn't played a game this season.

He's played well the past couple of games, hopefully that's the start of a turnaround.

Perry has been absolutely horrible this season.

Looking at his stats alone you might not realize it, but he is killing Anaheim's first line all by himself.

You say former star like Perry is for sure done being a star. A tough 35 games doesn't mean he's done being a star after being a top 10 goal scorer for 5 of the past 6 seasons.
