I think people are looking at the thread title and not recognizing the date of it. The original article regarding Nik's desire to return to the NHL is from the summer. I don't think the Leafs have him on their radar. don't get me wrong, I liked Antropov. However, it's unlikely that he will be back playing in the NHL.

He didn't have anything after his first knee injury. His first year? A wow. But both knees went, happy for him that he earned for 19 years after that. Good for him but its time to stick a fork in him, he ain't going to get a spot in the NHL.

I remember after the Leafs lost to the Devils in the 2001 Eastern Conference Semi-Finals, I was at the Raptors - 76ers playoff game that year and Antropov happened to be at that game. When they showed him on the video board he was getting boo's from the crowd.
