Again, seriously, did anybody in the Canucks staff actually watch the guy play? You can get away with that kind of skating as a winger (to a degree). But at the NHL level playing defenseman?

Linden had a respectible return. Led the team in points in his last postseason appearance. Speaking strictly as a player. Heck, I seem to remember people being mad he wasn't re-signed to play longer.

Of all the things that have happened lately with former Canucks, Bieksa being a Canucks voice on HNIC is one of the better ones. Wish we had a guy like that in 2011.
