Seething rage.

Chuck Fletcher pisses away assets like the apocalypse is tomorrow. And we acquired a rental (maybe!) Risto for a 1st. So it might be. Everything he said in his press conference about playing less defense and better puck moving just flew out the window.

They traded a 2nd with Ghost to give Risto a 1st. Seething rage.
Ghost, a 1st, 2 2nds, and a 7th for f***ing Ristolainen. Edit: and Hagg, too, of course.

This is tragic.

We cheer for a shit franchise.

That about sums up my feelings on NHL GMs. He's correct.

Ryan Ellis is smol. Rasmus is a big boi.

Okay...thats a really bad trade.

Worst part is they are 100% extending him if theyre giving up that much.

Couldnt even get cap relief.

If the argument is he’d be better sheltered and given less usage, don’t expect 40 points yada yada, then how do you justify a 1st? It doesn’t add up. It’s an unspeakably bad valuation. A 2 maybe! And that’s if you hold your nose to his career.

The logistics of this trade are laughable in that Risto might be a #6 PP specialist. And they packaged a similarly priced, better one with a 2nd yesterday for the privilege of trading the 13th pick for a rental at a higher cap. Or worse! They sign him to another contract. This is as mad as I’ve ever been. It’s MacDonald redux but worse? I think this is my line in the sand.
