He's 25 and played more games in the second division so far, 0.36 ppg in both first Swedish divisions. Unless he's the fastest learner in hockey he's not sniffing the NHL.

No points in the playoffs so maybe Swedish playoff hockey is different.

He was 2nd line/PP2 (by minutes) on a mid table SHL team so he probably won't amount to much but he did have the best shot differentials on his team by a decent bit so maybe there is 4th line potential.

He also had two major penalties this season so I'm sure that got them excited.

Yeh, with his skating and "Okay" puck skills alongside being solid on D? I can see a world where he actually can do a solid job on a 4th line.

But more likely than not? He is a 2nd liner in the AHL.

4th liners who can do a job are valuable too. Look at the state we are in with Deslauriers....

Classic Flyer signing. He is Mike Testwuide except he is bilingual. They probably managed to find th only gritty 200ft player in Sweden. They will never learn. This is what is known as a wasted cntract slot.
