Well I did say to start the year that the flyers would have one of the best shots at eliminating the pens. I also think the 0-4 record and 5 goals against are a little overblown. It’s not like they dominated us. They really just picked on filp.

They also play with great speed, have best powerplay and Manning with Gudas do like to get out of position a whole lot.

Meltzer brought up an interesting stat, Pitt is not good scoring 5 on 5. So the key is, easy to say this, is to keep them off the powerplay. Elliott has to be strong and the defense needs to tighten up. Then, we might have a shot of eliminating the defending champs.

Pittsburgh’s a better 5v5 scoring team than the Flyers. They’re at 2.5 GF/60 while the Flyers are at 2.41 GF/60. Better possession team too 52.3% to 49.7%. Pittsburgh has had one of the worst PDO’s as a team this year too 0.928.

Yea I think they lose the series and maybe win 2 games. I just think each game won’t be a blowout like most will likely think.

The D is horrendous and there is the 3C and 4 C issue. Filp has looked a lot better and yet still gets pinned often.
