Wayne Simmonds went 20th all-time in goals as a Flyer tonight.

His 144th and 145th goals took him past Ross Lonsberry (144).

Claude Giroux went joint 18th all-time in games played as a Flyers tonight. His 601st means he is tied with Tim Kerr. Recchi is next up with 602.

With his assist tonight Claude Giroux also broke a tie with Rod Brind'Amour to go clear 7th all-time in assists as a Flyer with 367.

Three pretty big individual Flyers milestones tonight:

Steve Mason won his 88th game as a Flyer. He is now clear 6th on the all-time Flyers win list. He broke a tie with Pelle Lindbergh (87).

Claude Giroux played his 602nd game in Orange and Black tonight. He therefore ties Mark Recchi for 17th all-time in games as a Flyer.

Biggest one in a while:

Claude Giroux, with his 2 assist night, now has 369 assists as a Flyer. That number means he is 5th all-time in assists as a Flyer, tied with Lindros and MacLeish.

Clarkie had 852 assists and the next closest is Propper with 480 - I had no idea the gap was that wide. And the 87 wins (RIP Pelle) being the 5th most in 50 years, in the vast majority of which we have been highly competitive, tells the story of our goaltending in a nutshell. Thankfully, we look to have turned that corner, or should moving forward.

Yeh, pretty unreal from Clarke.

I think the best way of showing how unreal a passer/set-up man he was is seeing that at the same stage of his career he has a similar Adjusted GPG as Giroux!

After age 28 season:

Giroux: 186 in 574 (0.324 AGPG)
Clarke: 232 in 693 (0.334 AGPG)

But in terms of adjusted Assists per game at same age:

Giroux: 382 in 574 (0.666 AAPG)
Clarke: 499 in 693 (0.820 AAPG)

Giroux is one of the best ~5 set-up men in the game... yet Clarke's rate of assists relative to era blows him out of the water.

By the end of the year it is pretty likely Giroux will be only the 4th Flyer in history to get 400 assists. Only 31 off that mark now.

That's amazing. I'm really happy for G - hopefully by the time he is finished he will have some Cups, just like Clarke.

I think Leier got assist on Schenn goal, should be his first career point. Damn that 2012 draft was stacked.

Taylor def is going have to beef up the story about his first NHL point. Bcuz as it stands now he shot the puck from the NZ and it went all the way back to flyers Amac (maybe he should switch it to provorov or ghost) who passed to Schenn for a highlight goal
