It's a step below that AHL. So when players aren't performing in the AHL, they will have a place to get send down now.how does this, if at all, impact player development?
IIRC the last time we had an actual agreement with an ECHL team was about 5 years ago with the Cincinnati Cyclones. After that we've shared ECHL teams like Manchester and Greenville with other NHL teams.how does this, if at all, impact player development?
That seems a step in the right direction towards improving development of prospects.IIRC the last time we had an actual agreement with an ECHL team was about 5 years ago with the Cincinnati Cyclones. After that we've shared ECHL teams like Manchester and Greenville with other NHL teams.
Basically we have more of a say in how they operate now; our prospects get priority, etc.
