If that pass back to the point actually went to the D and he shot and scored would the refs have reviewed it to see if they should have blown the play down from weber touching it ?? no they wouldn't, there is no way that should have been reviewable. Hard to argue with the tinfoil hats when crap like this goes on. never seen that reviewed in my life.

Friedman said that the league told the refs that no, they couldn't review that play, so in the end it was the same as in your scenario, they just took awhile to determine that.

Calgary Flame-out! Teams need to be more careful when there is a delayed call and mind that blue line. A few years ago, Patrice Bergeron barely saved a goal in that same situation.

The question is why would the on ice ref even think it might be reviewable. .that play has never been reviewed.

Why do Flames fans ALWAYS have to mention the Oilers in every context? They live in your heads so much they should be playing you rent, but why?

Because they're historically bad and impossible to ignore. The entire league talks about the Oilers for that very reason.

I was at a game when Phoenix did this with Gretzky as coach. Predators' goalie Chris Mason was credited with the Goal. Gretzky argued for a long time the goal shouldn't count because Mason had just made a blocker save 10 seconds before.

Saw this one live. Oh, the shame.

Glad we got it to overtime, though!

For anyone wondering why there was a review, it wouldn't have been a goal if they ruled Weber had the last touch. Weber did touch it, but Wideman eventually fired it cleanly down into his own goal.

On December 5, the Flames were 19 points ahead of the Oilers. The Flames have lost eight straight games since then, and they're still ahead of the Oilers by 17 points. There's nothing the Flames can do to catch up.

Friggin' Flames. Can't even lose properly.

Waive everybody!
