He really shouldn’t be stealing playing time from parsons or Zagidulin at this point.

With his one way contract, I'm not sure if a loan is possible (I'm assuming the acquiring team would have to pay him and not the Flames). Best bet then is getting him to consent to be sent to the ECHL or waiving him and then trading him for another waived one-way contract. Maybe something similar to the Kulak deal. Or keep all three in the AHL and simply don't play Gillies much or at all.
