The last time Monahan was worth taking a chance on, the Kucherov, Vasilevsky, Hedman core for the Lightning had just been swept by the Panarin led Blue Jackets.

He has been bad for quite a while now. And has been getting worse.

Det tried to legitimately improve their team this summer, so I'd say no there. It's not retirement, so not sure about Ari. Although they did take Ladd and Eriksson, who actually played games for them. Not sure about Ana, because, what if, he comes back to haunt the Flames in the division? Give Chi a good enough +, and I'd say they'll do it, not care about the cash, and hope he's an asset to sell at the deadline.
