I just want to put something in perspective on the first Canucks goal.

That was a knuckle ball. Even in baseball a knuckle ball pitcher like RA Dickey has carried around a personal catcher for the last several years because they are so hard to catch and even as a guy who pretty much only caught a knuckle ball he was still crossed up several times a game. That puck didn't just dive downwards, but also dove to the side which was why Elliott looked out of position.
