Wow, good for Stralman. I think he's still got some good years left but Tampa couldn't get close to that number.

Very nice for Stralman. He was great for us and while it might bite the Panthers, it's well deserved. He is close to Hedman and the gang too. Win Win for Stralman.

He was so good his first few years in Tampa. One of the larger, underrated mistakes overlooked in recent history was NYR letting him go and locking up Dan Girardi that season and signing Dan Boyle that offseason. God awful and greatly accelerated the closing of the team's window.

He still is solid and could still be a good #4 but 5.5 million? That's kinda too much.

wtf is florida doing....almost 15M on bob and stralman?

Addressing some of their biggest weaknesses. Goaltending and top 4 RHD.

Old Luongo / Reimer vs Bobrovsky

Mark Pysyk vs Anton Stralman

Huge upgrades.

3 year term is very forgiving, I'm surprised he didn't get more tbh.

I agree, i thought Tampa would find a way to keep him with this type of deal.

I think it's solid for Florida. He's been a legit top 4 guy for years now. 1 season where he's battling some injuries doesn't change that, or at least chances are it doesn't.

3 year term is perfect.

I know the defensive crop is bad in free agency but still giving him a 1 million per season raise after a bad season doesn't sound like a great idea.

He wasn't great last year. Big money for Stralman, but if he can be a solid 4/5, then it's fine.

The term would have been fine, but the amount of money TB couldnt do.
