Happy for Larkin, nice to see a 30 goal guy that works so hard at both ends of the rink.

Never thought AA or Larkin would be pushing 30 goals this year. Thought it would be Mantha if anyone.

Also, first Red Wing not named Zetterberg or Datsyuk to get 66 points in a season since Filppula (2011/12). Dylan might make it to 70 this season.

Pretty good considering what he has to work with/the D that are getting the puck to him.

I still think AA leads the team in goals by years end. Mantha better get to 20 as well. And hopefully Bert too.

The last time the Wings won the Cup, they only had two 30 goal scorers. Maybe they just need more depth scoring, I hear Danny Cleary is available.

Seriously though, the team has Larkin, AA, Mantha, a little from Bert and then nothing else.

As suggested, the issue isn't the lack of 30 goal scorers (though it would sure help if we could locate a 40 goal sniper/power forward!), but the fact that outside our young forward, this team gets very few goals down the line-up. Nielsen & Glendenning with 10 goals as 6th & 7th in scoring just isn't good enough, especially as 5th is Vanek who basically can't skate at a good enough level to be effective outside of the PP these days.

The other problem is the PP itself. That's where a lot of the elite players like Ovechkin get a lot of their goals. Need better coaching and personnel there especially if Vanek isn't re-signed (and no, I don't want him back).
