It’s Fricking hilarious when posters are saying Horvat is already 26 years old and 27 in 4 months as if that’s old  The overrating of prospects and picks continues!

Rumor is he's available. Horvat would be of interest. If not, Stevie will want a 1st as part of the package and take on a player whose in the last year of their contract that he could move at the deadline for more picks. Who might that be?

The add it would take to get Horvat for Hronek would be something Yzerman probably isn't parting with.

Then again, Yzerman has a bad habit of surprising us with absurdly one-sided trades that expose bad GMs... And Benning isn't exactly a super genius.

I agree, they should have added that he’s never come close to a point a game in any season; way too much to pay for a secondary piece.

If Vancouver wanted Hronek alone then it would probably be in draft picks that the Nucks send to Detroit.

The Wings don’t need to trade Filip Hronek right now, so Detroit’s defensive prospects have more time to develop.

If the Canucks did inquire about the availability of Hronek, Yzerman could press Benning into a higher draft pick or more picks in quantity, which Benning shouldn’t be giving away draft picks like he has done previously in other deals Benning has made.
