Just curious on the cost of Hronek to Vancouver or if he’s even available? He’s only 23rs old, shoots right, average size at 6 ft 180ish.

This season I noticed he plays 2nd unit PP and PK I believe?
This season he has 1 goal and 8 assists in 18 games which is pretty solid. I know Detroit is still rebuilding and have Seider as their future and current #1 RHD, so is Hronek available and if so what would the cost be?

Rumor is he's available. Horvat would be of interest. If not, Stevie will want a 1st as part of the package and take on a player whose in the last year of their contract that he could move at the deadline for more picks. Who might that be?

Yzerman isn't dealing Hronek unless another RHD is in place, Would love to sign Klingberg for the right price. That's the only way i see Hronek being available. I'd do something around Zadina+Hronek and other pieces for Bo Horvat that's about it.

Not interested in moving him. Would need to be a young 2C which probably makes a trade hard. He’s on the second unit simply because Seider is better

How does Horvat come into the picture here? He’s our captain and Hronek/Horvat are worlds apart in value. Yeah we’re having a down season but at least try to be realistic.

Nobody is trying to trade Hronek straight across for Horvat. It would obviously be part of a larger deal.

Dude nobody here ever said Hronek 1 for 1 for Horvat, It's a much bigger deal there was already mention Hronek+Zadina+Detroit's 2022 1st round pick and another smaller pieces. And both fan bases sounded like it was a fair offer. The other piece i believe might've been a 2022 or 2023 2nd round pick from Detroit.

He’s been hounded a bit but he’s a big piece of the defense. He should only be used as part of a package to land a big fish. No more selling for equal or lesser parts

We wouldn't trade him for a package around Zadina and Hronek, it adds exactly the type of assets we don't need.

Two things we are rich in are offensive D and skilled wingers.

Personally I hope it doesn't get to the point where we trade Horvat, I would much sooner trade Miller since I think he's definitely gone in 2 years anyway, but if we do trade Horvat it won't be for redundant pieces.

Wings are thin on the blueline, no way they are trading Hronek unless another NHL defender is coming back. Yes we have Seider, but he is still a rookie, and NHL teams still need to fill the other 5 spots with talent. Not like we have 6 top 4 guys and we need to get rid of one. Right now we are weak as far as current NHL depth is considered and hopefully strong as far as prospects go, with hopefully Edvinsson in a year or two. Not sure why so many act like, "well we have this good guy, so we don't need this other guy now!"

I could see a Boeser for Hronek swap taking place...
I want to see a trade for a defensive dman in the mold of Tanev. Not another dman that we have several of. We lack size and grit in the backend along with good defensive skills. Myers is trash, same as poolman and Bouroughs is only a rookie. So we need a good top 4 D that can play great defense and log 20 minutes.

It's basically 2 1st and 2 2nds, Of course Horvat would've to sign a reasonable long term deal. But he would be a solid 2C for us. Since it's doubtful we'll land Shane Wright or any big fish at C in the draft for that matter.

Hronek + Zadina + 1st (top5-10pick probably) ++ 2nd ?? = Massive Overpay.

Both teams say no for numerous reason, as they should.

The fit isn't there for VAN

Too much value given up by DET for a great 2C & I really like Horvat...turns 27yo in 4+ months.

& "he is great at faceoffs and isnt a defensive liability, Horvat is only average/below average defensively. He also doesnt kill penalties unless he is out there for a faceoff."

Since when are 2C's worth that much?

My offer: '22/'23 1st (unprotected, VAN choice) + Rasmussen + Tuomisto/McIsaac/Wallinder.

(keeping Both Hronek & Zadina), unless 2C is 23yo or younger/ELC, great 2-way, 55-60 consistent player, avg.size or bigger, RHS preferred. PP+PK ability, 20TOI/gp, over 50% FO.

Not giving up 3 good to very good pieces for a 2C.

Vancouver and Detroit are very poor trading partners.
Vancouver can exchange: Brock Boeser, Bo Horvat, J.T. Miller.
Many teams will want these players.
Perhaps it will be an overpayment deal.

The Filip Zadina exchange does not make sense right now. The hockey player's trade value is now minimal. Why does Detroit need it? Filip plays in the team. Hockey player progress is possible. Then different actions can be considered.

Filip Hronek exchange is possible. The approximate level of the player is known. The trading value is roughly understandable. Purchase of 2C (ELC) is desirable. Detroit should receive an overpayment for the player. Why does Vancouver need it?

Detroit needs another two years to develop. Boeser (RFA 2022), Horvat (UFA 2023), Miller (UFA 2023). Take these players to exchange for the third team? Get a good profit on the deal?
This is possible if Vancouver sells players for 50% of the cost. Only one question arises. Why does Vancouver need it?

I read a few sentences:
“Zadina+Hronek”

I didn't understand, just one moment. Is this an offer for Elias Pettersson? ;)
“22/'23 1st (unprotected, VAN choice) + Zadina + maybe Rasmussen + Tuomisto/McIsaac/Wallinder”.

I repeat. Vancouver and Detroit are very poor trading partners.
Both teams began to move in parallel paths. The outcome of the path may be different. Then there could be a win-win deal.

Horrendous overpay. We are not giving up our first this year for him way too valuable. Especially when horvat is a ufa in 2023.
