Price, Subban, Max, Chuck, Sergachev, McDonnaugh, Gallagher... Timmins isn't the problem.

We'd have been better off with our GMs doing absolutely nothing but sticking with our picks.

You see drafting issues, I see coaching & development problems.

Regardless of which perspective is more accurate, both have one thing in common... MB is the man I'm charge and the person most responsible for the success, or lack thereof, of hockey ops department s

It’s all Pricer’s fault!!

This team grinded to score 1 goal and he couldn’t win the game for us.

Call a PC tomorrow MB and just admit you failed and you're resigning as the Habs GM..
with his ego that is impossible.
The best way to get rid of him without being on the hook for his salary is to higher a bigger ego above him (32)

you're cherry picking picks that go as far back as 2004. 14 years ago. How about we compile 5-10 homegrown players that are decent within a 5 year span instead
Fine. But you need to exclude Stamkos from the Lightning if you're going to do that...

Once again, drafting is not the problem. Drafting's pretty much the only thing we've done right actually.

One of his greatest strengths is cap management, imo, but he's made some underrated moves. Getting Callahan for a TB legend was bold and has paid off in the locker room big time. Dealing away a potential stud in Drouin for a prospect was a gamble.

His free agent pickups have been pretty nice. Stralman was huge.

Sure, every GM makes good moves, including ours. Yzerman has been fine, but he owes most of the Bolts' success to the scouts who picked the team's entire core.

Players don't succeed based on their draft. The organization they go to plays a huge role in creating, or diminishing, opportunities to succeed. Yzerman has built a culture of success that did not exist prior to his arrival.
You can create whatever culture you want, but you can't have success without the right players. That's the bottom line. Of course you need good people to develop and coach them, and Yzerman gets credit for hiring Brisebois and the coaches in Syracuse. Like I said, he's a decent GM, at least. But a great one? Don't see it. If the scouts had missed the great players they found, there'd be little for Yzerman's staff to have developed. There's nothing in Yzerman's resume that indicates he could've built a championship team without all those great prospects. It's not him who deserves being pumped up, it's his scouts.
