OSHIE HAT TRICK

Just days after his little girl is born Oshie records his first NHL hat trick.

TARASENKO NASTY WRISTER

After the Blues fall behind the Preds 3-2 Tarasenko tells Elliott, "don't worry we will get that one back." Then he does this

OSHIE OLYMPIC HEROICS

Usa! Usa! Usa! Oshie! Oshie! Oshie!

TARASENKO TIES IT

Game #1 with 6 seconds left..... ****ing clutch.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT RIVALRY

Blues first nationally televised game of the year. Steen blows one by Crawford late in the 3rd.

BLUES JUST WONT GO AWAY

Blues keep battling back despite being down the entire game.

STEEN IN TRIPLE OT

Was well worth the lack of sleep.

Just a few of my favorite moments of this past season what was yours. If not listed please note in comments below.

Dang...great choices, very tough.

For me it was between Oshie's hat trick, Tank tying it up against the Hawks (I was at both of those games), or Steen's triple OT goal (watched from my couch).

I went with Tarasenko tying it against the Hawks. I've been to many Blues games but when he scored that goal the Scottrade was rocking louder than I've ever heard it. I was hugging people I didn't know. It was amazing. So that was my personal favorite moment.

It's hard to pick one moment. Tarasenko showing how dominant he can be is topping my list. I can't really count the PO as favorites since it amounted to nothing. Great thread, nothing is a bad answer

Edit. I went with Tarasenko's wrister, with the context of him telling Elliott not to worry that he would get it back. Then went coast to coast and dominated.

That game against the hawks when they just wouldn't die in the regular season. Also I'm realising that Frank must love playing Chicago, he always shows up.

Well it's gotta be Oshie's Olympic shootout. That is a moment that will never be forgotten. Just an amazing performance.

NHL-wise though, the triple OT game was incredible. As for the regular season, I'm gonna say the first time we crushed the Avs at home. Lit them up on the scoreboard, Oshie destroyed McGinn with a reverse hit, Reaves killed McLeod, Avs fans completely lost their minds after Stewart celebrated a win over Sarich in a fight and Patrick Roy probably went home and cried. That's your perfect game.

Yeah I thought about that but in that very moment of Tarasenko tying it was my favorite. Obviously not the end result but I see what you're saying.

Tank's tying goal also did a lot for me because I was there. If I had been there during Steen's 3OT goal I may have picked that one. But I was on my couch and while I was very excited, nothing beats being there.

Absolutely, it wasn't ment to take away from the moment. I let my boys stay up for playoff games. I think my oldest(6) was more excited then me lol

Dang it. I was handling the offseason pretty well until this thread. I am so pumped for next season. I can't wait to see how this team does and I am super excited to see how Jori does and how Allen does. Personally I'm not the biggest Elliot fan but I am hoping for the best. I just need my Blues back on the ice..

I think you need an updated name, or at least an updated avatar :P

Anyway, I voted Steen triple OT, but Tarasenko tying it, and the Avs game where we embarrassed them in every phase of the game was pretty high up there too.

Great idea for a thread by the way.

I also remember that game where we killed LA as well.

Yeah, it was the regular season and they had the monstrous last laugh but at the time with all the troubles we had with LA it was nice to totally stomp them.

Tank's tie in the Predators game. He promises and then he just nails it. Maybe it wasn't the most important goal of the season, but it has so much soul.

I was at game 1, so I'd have to say Steen's triple OT goal. After that it would have to be Tarasenko tying it with 6.4 seconds left in game 2.

Man, watching all of these is just giving me goosebumps all over again. If it weren't for the injuries at the worst time, I wonder what could have been. This past team was special and I can't wait for them to be back on the ice again. With that being said, I'm going to go with Tarasenko's game tying goal with 6 seconds left. I was in a house full of Blackhawks fans.

Imagine if we had beaten the Blackhawks to move on. We would have played either Colorado or Minnesota (both of whom we could easily handle (especially Minnesota because we've destroyed them the past few years)). We could have won that series in 4-6 games and by then we would be rolling. I'm confident we can beat any team in the east if we had made it to the finals. The only team I could see being tough to beat would be Boston, and they didn't even make it past the 2nd round. If anything, round 3 would have been tougher than the finals, having to play either Anaheim or LA.

I am going to go with a write in vote. I can't pinpoint the exact time, but there is always a moment in the season, well seasons when we are playing well, where I say "Holy crap, this team actually has a shot to make a run at the Cup." The dream eventually gets crushed, but it is my favorite point of every year and the closest to how I'd feel if we actually did win. This year it happened sometime before the trade deadline when we were pulling ahead in the division and playing well. I'd say it was when we beat Boston right before the Olympic break, but it is hard to pinpoint as it is a feeling, not an event. I thought that if we could just get a center to put us over the top...then we got Miller...then we saw Miller play...then we had 5 million injuries...then we drew Chicago...and then, well let's just say I never got back to that level of excitement again.

Going on the poll it would be the Oshie shoot-out. He had been my favorite player and I'd tell people how sick his moves could be. It was nice to see everyone finally see it. This, like my vote above, has since been tainted as he is labeled a mere shoot-out specialist on this board because of it. But that is the life of a Blues fan. You can have nothing good but that it won't last.

Write in.

The closing seconds of game 6 when the Blues triumphed over the Penguins and watching Sidney Crosby's face as the realization hit that this was not to be his year either.

I know what you mean. Mine was the game in March against the Preds when the Blues had 5,000+ invade Nashville and Miller was playing well and the team was hot...that was my moment when I felt this year was going to be special.

Ironically, the next day we found out Tarasenko got hurt in that very game on some BS play with 20 seconds left in a blowout.

As for the topic, the raw emotion of Game 2 made it by far my favorite game of the season while the Oshie shootout was something I'll be telling my son about. I guess watching one of our own become an overnight national celebrity was probably by my favorite moment of last year.

Tarasenko scored as I was walking out of the delivery room into the operating room. The winning goal was scored the same minute my son was born. I had completely forgotten there was a game going on until I met family in the waiting room. So that one for me, I'll never forget that goal.
