-Drafting the team that would win THIS YEAR
Contracts
-using cap hits for 19/20 as shown on capfriendly.com (J. Hughes = 925k hit)
-Players who have played at least 1 NHL game in their CAREER and currently have an NHL contract are eligible to be picked (No Kaprizov, Lafreniere etc, E. Bouchard, O. Tippett etc are eligible)
Time Limit for picks
-2 hours (may change in the future)
-If you have back to back picks, it's still 2 hours not 4
-The clock starts at 10:00 AM ET and ends at 12:00 AM ET (Lots of PT/MT'ers in the draft).

Yeah I really wanted Hamilton there.

If Weber got taken I was likely going to just forget about D considering how the good ones were flying off the board. Glad to get that all-situations #1 D though.

Hmmmm......

I’m not the greatest judge of talent, and I think Jones and Hamilton are both excellent defensemen, but I’d take Hamilton over Jones if we’re considering just this season. Hamilton was playing like a legit Norris trophy candidate this season. I’m actually quite shocked that he dropped so far down.

I think it’s close as well, but Jones has the better name value for polls so I had him valued higher for sure.

Was strongly debating taking Tkachuk to create an elite top line.

Glad I passed and he went to Edmonton.
