The Devils enter the 2010-2011 season with a similar roster to the previous season. We are continuing to build from within the system, leaving roster spots open for youngsters like Josefson, Zharkov, and Corrente to earn. At the same time, we have retained Kovalchuk and Martin, allowing us to have another crack at the playoffs with the stud goalscorer and our number one defenseman. Taylor Pyatt was signed to bring some veteran grit to the 4th line, while Leopold and Colaiacovo were brought in to add some defensive depth. In goal, we signed Michael Leighton, fresh off of an excellent playoff run, to take some of the load off of Brodeur (We hope to give Leighton at least 15-20 starts) and hopefully keep him fresh for the playoffs.
