Kids on fire since the start of December. After his 4 point night yesterday he sits at 53 in 39.

Him and Theo rochette (undrafted overager) are like 20 points ahead of the next closest person on the team.

Bolduc is 14-14 in 15 games since December 5th

Rochette isn't an overager in the CHL. He still has one year of eligibility. Him and Bolduc in the QMJHL next season

The Blues prospect pool is thin on high upside players so it's nice to see Bolduc's scoring take off. Pretty much all the highlights I've seen are him making plays around the net or on the PP so I haven't been able to gauge his skating ability much. For those who have seen him how is his skating and transition play?

My bad, I thought at 20, even with one year left of eligibility he would still be considered an overager.

edit: I just looked and he literally turned 20 like 9 days ago so I suppose I could have taken a closer look. Definitely his 19 year old season. Anyways, the team is pretty much Bolduc and him and nothing else

Not exactly. Gaucher isn’t so bad either. They also have one of the best D and their goaltender is #1 in GAA and Save %.

They seem to be the only ones putting up any offence. I’m not saying Quebec is bad but from a firepower pov it’s him and gaucher. That being said I should have worded it better because it does come across like you said. Whoops!

He looked surprisingly good in preseason with the Blues. Like, absolute NHL-level speed, tools, and body already. So I was also surprised by his slow start. I'm not surprised now. :D

Seems like Bolduc is getting slept on a bit considering the (well deserved) attention other 2021 draftees are getting - 44 goals in 55 games this season (second in he league to Dufour, a 2020 draftee).
He has I believe 29 goals in 27 games since the start of February. Kid is killing it

Good for Bolduc. He had a really slow start but has to be one of the hottest players in the Q since they came back after the Covid break.

55 goals and 44 assists for 99 points in 65 games.

Lots to like in this player outside of his raw production too, excited to see what the PO's bring.

I think Zach makes the Blues out of training camp and stays past the 9 games. I think he ends up with Ivan Barbashev and Brayden Schenn on the Blues 3rd line. Dude looked good last preseason and I'm very curious to see what he looks like in training camp this fall.

That would be great, but I don't know if he has the stamina for a full season in the NHL.

The 9 games stint wouldn’t be surprising but I doubt he stays in the NHL. I expect him to go back the the QMJHL and to make the Canadian WJC team.
