He's played well almost every time I've seen him play. He doesn't get the same hype that some of his teammates do, but he's done very well internationally for Russia this season.

For those that have watched more, what exactly are his big strengths and weaknesses? I've admittedly struggled to find much in either category.

Best Russian I've seen so far for 2020, not that it's a stellar crop. I'd take him over Gushchin easily and probably Askarov just based on Askarov being a goalie.

Amirov was easily better than Podkolzin last U18, not saying he is a better prospect, but he is the Russian that stood out the most for me last U18, certainly has the skills of a first round pick...

Stylistic he and Perfetti seem very similar. Smart, skilled players whose primary strength is executing plays at a high level. Nice hands on both. Neither is big or very fast but quick enough to be a threat.
