12/13 year old that was able to play at the u15 level this season and scored above PPG. Defenitly a kid that should be looked at going forward.

I believe he is one of the youngest players to ever play and produce in the league. Younger than even Bedard, Savoie and Kosick.
1.18ppg was really interesting for 12/13 year olds. Let's see if he'll play at 3ppg in the 22/23 season and then there's some comparison to Savoie and Bedard's numbers.

Agreed - next season is what matters for the kid. Even if it‘s “Only” 2PPG it‘ll still bode well for his future.

I was looking at his footage recently and thinking "wow this kid is good. Probably should wait a bit before posting and give him a chance to prove his stats first" but no, there's been a thread since 2021, lol.

Has continued his great pace and has even got a couple games for Shawnigan U17 team - notching 2 points in as many games.

Honestly if he were to have been eligible for this years WHL draft he would go rather high, maybe even first.

Great start to his first U18 season, going 2-1-3 on the night.

Here is a scouting report on McKamey, from WHLRankings on twitter, "Big, strong, hard-working, shoot first type of two-way Center. Has a great blend of size and speed. Plays a simple north-south style, goes into the corners and battles for pucks using his strength and reach to his advantage. Comparable WHL: Kai Uchacz"

Prince Albert won the WHL Draft Lottery for a second year in a row and moves up to 2nd overall. Does McKamey commit to PA? Or does he pull a Mathis Preston and say he won't go?

There's already NCAA rumours around him so I highly doubt he'd go to PA. Think Kelowna at 4 he'd report though, maybe Tri-City at 3.

Denver, North Dakota, or another (ex: Michigan) type rumors?
haven't heard a specific school but just he's not 100% to sign in the WHL. No clue if it's legit or just the usual top picks floating NCAA so they can kinda pick where they go. Before moving up PA was expected to take one of the 2 top sask kids so kinda hoping they trade back down to 4 with Kelowna so McKamey can go there. They can then move up from 9 to say 5. Will be interesting how things shake out May 9th

Slim but highly unlikely chance. Maybe in another year he would've gotten a conversation but being in this class made it almost a given he wouldn't get it, although he probably wouldn't regardless.

He’s a high end offensive producer, but not nearly good enough to be in legitimate conversation for ES - similar to a Brayden Yager or Riley Heidt

Fair enough. PA would be a good spot as they should be contending by the time he can join full time. My guess he ends up in Tri-city though
