Just as the title says, what are every teams most crushing losses? Your opinion obviously.

Anaheim Ducks: Game 7 in 03
Boston Bruins: 1979 too many men
Buffalo Sabres: No goal game in 1999
Calgary Flames: Game 7 to Tampa
Carolina Hurricanes: 2002 Finals
Chicago Blackhawks: 2014 game 7
Colorado Avalanche: 2002 game 7 to Wings
Columbus Blue Jackets: No idea
Dallas Stars: 2000 to Devils
Detroit Red Wings: Game 7 to Pens
Edmonton Oilers: 1986 game 7 ( 06 Finals close second)
Florida Panthers: 96 Finals
LA Kings: 93 Finals
Minnesota Wild: 2014 to Hawks
Montreal Canadiens: 89 to Flames
Nashville Predators: 2017 Finals
NJ Devils: 01 to Avs
NYI: 79 to Rangers or 84 to Oilers
Rangers: 84 to Isles or 2014 Finals
Sens: 03 game 7 to Devils
Flyers: 87 to Oilers
Phoenix Coyotes:
Penguins: 93 to Isles
Blues: 86 to Flames
Sharks: 2016 to Pens
Lightning: 2016 to Pens
Leafs: 93 to Kings
Canucks: 2011 to B's
Vegas: 2018 SCF to Caps
Caps: 87 to Isles
Jets: 90 to Oilers

I only chose one. Some losses before the Finals could hurt more than the Finals themselves.

Coyotes had to be the conference finals vs the Kings or when they got bounced in the 1st round by St. Louis. That St. Louis team was the 8 seed if I remember correctly and Yotes were 1.

Everything else looks good.

Coyotes blew a 3-1 series lead didn't They? I looked it up though, and the Coyotes were the 4th seed. Blues were 5th.

Could be I was too lazy to look it up. Perhaps they won the division or something I know they had a really good record that year.

Pittsburgh’s losses to Florida, at home, in game of the the Eastern Confetence Finals hurt baaaad and the 2008 Stanley Cup against Detroit, who won in Pittsburgh, are honorable mentions. The isles loss was still probably the worst but these other 2 were rough.

Caps have so many it’s hard to choose just one. :P

Losing to a thoroughly mediocre Rangers team in 1986, really hurt.

All the favourites got knocked out that year so it remains a huge what if.

2016 wasn't crushing at all for the Sharks.

try 2014 vs LA or 2009 vs Anaheim

No goal is only exceedingly crushing to Newbies with the Sabres. I thought Dallas was a better team.

More crushing is losing to an inferior collection of skaters in 1975.

Bernie Parent was majestic; while Desjardins melted down, and Crozier was shot physically.

No goal was all Dominik Hasek and basically a group of scrubs.

2015 rangers. Up 3-1 in the 2 round and up 1-0 with 60 seconds to go in G5. Lots of Pens heartache for us but that’s the one we had all wrapped up and just gave it away.

Losing game 7 to Chicago at home in 2015 hurt more than game 7 in 03. Maybe because I was there. I had tears in my eyes walking back to my car after that game.

Pens in 93 pretty handedly over the 08 SCF loss for me. It was just such an upset.

For the Blues, I would think the Game 7 double OT loss to the Wings in 96 was the worst. Almost finally got the monkey off their backs and then did the same thing they always do :(

2012 Henrique goal is definitely the worst for me.

I was there too so that makes it way worse.

Especially because prior to that the we had great success in that building. All those happy memories of invading the Rock in 08 washed away.

Sharks blowing the 3-0 series lead to the Kings was more crushing than that 2016 cup finals loss. 2016 Sharks just got beat by a much better team. The Kings loss the Sharks blew that lead to an inferior team who also went on to win the cup. I think Sharks win the cup that season had they not choked vs the Kings.

Rangers were the better team, though. Caps were the definite underdogs in that series.

Caps had no business losing to the Rangers in 1986.

Leafs: 93 to Kings
There is a strong case to say that given that the Leafs were 1 win away from the Stanley Cup Final.

However some Leafs fans might say it's 2013 against Boston because of how it happened.

Personally I'm still never going to get over the Leafs losing to Carolina in the 2002 Eastern Conference Final.
