It was severe drop from "Kane levels"... which was still good

For example, for most of the season he was able to gain the offensive zone 6-9 times per a game (usually team lead there) pretty consistently. Last few games he was getting like 1-3 pretty consistently.

I thought something seemed up.

Everyone knew what the problem was

They were probably waiting to see if it fixed itself. Since it didnt it ended up at surgery

Most doctors use surgery as a last resort
