Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought putting the toe end of the stick blade into a swing like this is spearing?

I could see it called either way, but it was more of a swing than a stab - especially since it was a off angle.

Typically spearing is more of a stabbing motion.

The bad part of spearing is using the pointy end to attack soft tissue. The pressure isn't deflected at all
