Thank you very much.
Zubov is better than what I thought... is the High League the Super League, or a junior league ? And is the Finnish Junior A a good caliber ? I suppose it's kinda like the AHL of the SM Liigaa ?
I can't provide much insight on European prospects because I haven't seen them play. If you want to compare stats of previously drafted players/prospects you can go to the player section of eurohockey.com. Obviously stats are a rough basis of comparison but at least it's something to base an opinion on (which most around here don't seem to have any problem doing regardless).
The High League is the second best league in Russia (Vysshaya Liga). Both Zubov and Istomin appear to be doing well by comparison to other 17 year olds to have played there. Some examples (at 17): Alexander Radulov 42/15+16=31, Alexander Semin 46/13+8=21, Ilya Kovalchuk 39/25+18=43 etc.
Finnish Junior A is the top Junior league in Finland (Mestis is the name of the league that's comparable to a "Finnish AHL" although few prospects play there). The A designation is not comparable to North American Junior A (although they are most likely comparable from a strength level). Laakso seems like he could be a good one given his accomplishments (Joni Pitkanen at 17 had a 24/6+11=17 line). On the other hand, Lehtonen's stats don't seem to represent whatever it is that scouts see in him. I'll certainly give those who have seen him the benefit of the doubt though.
Also here are Lelkes' stats: 12/0+0=0 (Slovak Extraliga) 2/0+0=0 (Slovak 1st Liga) 16/11+7=18 (Slovak Junior Extraliga)
