I've noticed that European athletes are generally more honest in interviews like this and speak about how they really feel instead of spouting out sports clichés and trying not to offend like a lot of North America athletes do. I don't think his attitude is all that different from a typical hockey player, it's just that he's willing to voice his displeasure.
That Avs team was a kind of a mess from front office to coaching to player development. I can't blame him at all for leaving for something closer to home, where he'll actually play and get paid.
