Unless its a young prospect with legitimate top 6 potential, why would we trade our young RHD with actual top 4 potential. And no to Bracco, he is redundant. We have Yamamoto as a top 6 scoring right shot right wing.

Ideally Id like to call up Tampa and talk about Bear for Raddysh.

Raddysh would be a perfect fit with Connor and Leon. From there we fill one of Nuge's wings through our 1st this year, the other with a signing or prospect promotion.

Tampa isn't a bad trading partner for something like this. They have a ton of really great forwards at the AHL level that I think are going to be blocked here in the next few years.

Barre-Boulet, Volkov, Verhaeghe, Raddysh, Stephens all look like they're poised to be NHL regulars in the next 1-2 years and there's no room.

Exactly, and don't they have a need at RD with the aging vets hitting UFA?

That’s actually a really good fit, Tampa needs D prospects too.

for Bear

24 yr old rfa C-W Lettieri, decent speed, shoot first type
rights [if any] to 25 yr old group 6 pending UFA LD Gilmour
23 year old LW Dawson Leedahl

small #s, cap negligible

Let. is a 4th liner w/3rd line potential, fits now. Speed.
Gilmour, we already have glut of LDs, has finally improved w/current call up after previously looking clueless on defense, Speed to burn.
Leedahl is a throw in, final year of elc.

Speed helps Oil now. Leedahl is uncertain, but Let. makes team now, and Gilmour is 7th pushing 3rd pair; somebody gets moved, bingo, some cap relief.

Bear is an RD prospect. NY needs RDs. His pr suggests he is on track, but I'd like to know he has adequate enough speed for NHL game. Otherwise, sure, a moderately attractive chance worth taking.

If EDM adds and gets better piece, it should go that way.
If it can't add or otherwise wants to not go there, this is an interesting alternative.

Now this is a good trade.

Less quantity, more quality. All of those pieces are meh.

lol. nobody is trading their young top 6 forward for ethan bear and a 2nd. get real and stop overrating your players.

Bottom 6 player are traded all the time and they bring back 3rd to 5th round picks . No one trades a 2nd for a bottom 6 forward unless it is an elite 3C on a good contract then of course a 2nd is not enough

So 1 good prospect at each position is enough ? Need a lot more bullets in those chambers to become a real good NHL team

Not when you’re taking bullets out of other chambers to make that happen.

Bear is worth more than Bracco in my opinion.

I agree there . All things being equal Bear is worth more just base on RD being the hardest asset to attain . I hope in 3 year we have all home grown D

Klefbom Bouchard
Jones Persson hope he turns out

Bear+Benson+2nd round pick for kap/johnsson. Probably unrealistic cuz the leafs would rather try and get one single asset in the form of a rhd then a bunch of nice but unproven ones. The oilers prob dont want to give up benson after his strong AHL rookie year. Just wondering value wise how does it seem from oilers fans perspectives.

Edmonton 1st + 3rd + Bear for both Kapanen and Johnsson.

We instantly create an NHL top 6 and Toronto gets an NHL ready RD and a high 1st to target someone like Turcotte.

I wouldn't trade a top 10 pick for two middle 6 wingers that will both need to be signed for ~4.5m each without moving out any salary.... Let alone adding a 3rd and a decent prospect.

So you're going to trade a top 10 pick for older middle 6 forwards....wtf.

I agree with the previous posts of players like Raddysh that are good and polished but still young for Bear. Makes a ton of sense.

Samorukov should be pretty damned close to untouchable at this point. It would take a heck of an offer to pry him loose.

Samorukov and untouchable don't go together.. for example Bear was a much better prospect coming out of juniors..

Completely untrue. Bear scored more points but Samorukov is a very sound defensive player and has seen meteoric growth this year. Take note of the most recent OHL coaches poll.

I actually watch CHL games tho.. but if you think he's an "untouchable" lvl prospect i won't take that hope away from you, believe what you want.
