I guess I don't really know how many top 6/9 players sign long term without being able to cross at least 5 places off the list.

It's still nice there will be 21 options if it does come to a trade. I just don't like limiting options for improvement. Regardless, if he's good enough it won't be an issue.

If Ek can continue to show the same improvement over the next two or three seasons, like we saw from him over the past two seasons, then this deal will be a steal. We get him through his entire prime and eventually this is a value contract.

This is the sort of contract Ek gets in Chel. It often works out pretty good for me.
