Karlsson sadly is crippled and sorta sucks right now. He used to be one of my favorite players to watch back in the day.

Barrie has been real good with Oilers.

I have watched two San Jose games this year. Karlsson looked awful in one, and okay in the other. Either way, 2 games isn't enough for me to give an educated opinion. I think EK is probably better than he is given credit for still.

Barrie is a lot better at being that pure "offensive defenceman" these days. So, given that they're both a real liability in their overall game...might as well go with Barrie, as the guy who does that thing better at least.
