Right now Karlsson would (IMO) get a bigger return than Schenn, but there are 2 factors that might make this the case.
1) Karlsson has yet to play year 2, and that 2nd year was a hard one for Schenn (at least to start). Think jinx!
2) Contracts. Schenn at 2.95 or Karlsson at 1.725.
We should have a much better read on these 2 guys after this year. I think Schenn will have a solid year, and Karlsson 'should' put up 45+ points.
In response to the fellow that brought up the bit hits from Schenn as a reason that he is fun to watch, that is true, but those come at unpredictable times. Karlsson, for me, is fun to watch when he has the puck. He just looks so calm with it.
This comparison as eveybody knows is apples and oranges. Cowen/Schenn is the better one.
I think Karlsson/Kaberle, Rundblad/Gunnersson and Cowen/Schenn are interesting comparisons. I have always been a Kabs fan, and I just don't get why Burke is trying to run him out of town.
