Karlsson catches me as a guy who would sign or else if it meant he was joining a good team. Doesn't seem like a guy who's money hungry.

Doughty for example already got his Stanley Cup(s) so he could have easily just went for the money inf ere agency, and still kind of did with his extension. I don't blame him tho.

Ottawa was only a bottom feeder once (maybe twice depending on how you consider bottom feeder) during his time with the team though. Although I do agree that he probably wants to avoid a bottom feeder.
