Happy New Years everyone! This festive fixture matchweek spans the holiday, kicking off with Luton hosting Chelsea in a relegation dog fight. Elsewhere, we see a couple London derbies, with Palace hosting the Bees in what may be a match for Roy Hodgson to keep his position, and Fulham welcoming Arsenal to the Craven Cottage. Once 2024 kicks in, we have a couple fun fixtures, as Liverpool attempt to retain top spot when they welcome Newcastle to the west coast and West Ham hosts Brighton in a battle of European sides.

This is the last MW for players leaving for international tournaments. LFC lose Salah to AFCON and Endo to Asia after this fixture for several MWs afterwards.

Newcastle badly need to right the ship here, and I think that this could look A LOT like the Utd 0-0 game; Newcastle would be thrilled with a 0-0 draw just like Utd was.

January is always a weird month, and this is about when City start to kick into gear. Buckle up folks

I still haven't figured out how they calculate stoppage time yet. 5 minutes seems low for this one, and then other games there's like 8 minutes for no reason.

It's definitely unpredictable. There used to be one thing you could be sure of, and that was that they'd add more time at game end than before half. Now even that's not true.

I think we'll be saved by offside here because that defending was terrible.

De Bruyne on the bench today.

Looks like the season is about to start
