Communication is awful today. So many runs being made without the passer being remotely aware and so many passes where they were assuming a run was being made that was never even thought of.

I expect him to take the shot as well, which is exactly why I would like to not see him on the pitch. It's an incredibly low percentage chance and more should be made of the play.

I think some of it was the "it's Rashford behind me, he's not gonna get up that strong" But yea, the defender needs to contest that better. At the very least make body contact to throw off his motion.
